Project Challenge:
The client required full modernisation across all three floors of this 6,500 square foot house. The existing decorative ceilings needed to be plastered and redecorated, and the timber doors and architraves required stripping and refreshing. The kitchen, which was outdated, needed a complete redecoration to align with the client's modern taste. The client also desired a new study area and a WC, which involved moving plumbing and reconfiguring the current doorways to create a new layout. The overall goal was to transform the property into a bright, light, and modern space for the future.
Solution:
PM Cheshire Ltd approached the project with a detailed and comprehensive plan to meet the clients needs. The team began by assessing the entire property to identify all areas requiring attention. Here’s a breakdown of the solution:
1. Ceiling Restoration and Decoration:
o The old decorative ceilings were carefully plastered to smooth out any imperfections.
o High-quality paint and finishes were applied to create a fresh, modern look.
2. Timber Door and Architrave Refurbishment:
o All timber doors and architraves were stripped of their old finishes.
o They were then sanded, primed, and painted to match the new, modern aesthetic of the home.
3. Kitchen Redecoration:
o The space was painted and decorated to reflect a bright, light and contemporary style.
4. New Study Area and DS Toilet:
o The team reconfigured the existing layout to create a dedicated study area.
o Plumbing was moved to accommodate the new downstairs toilet.
o Doorways were adjusted to ensure a seamless and functional flow throughoutthe space.
5. Lighting and Finishes:
o Modern lighting fixtures were installed to brighten the home and create a welcoming atmosphere.
o High-end finishes and materials were used to ensure durability and a luxurious feel.
6. Coordination and Communication:
o The project was managed with meticulous attention to detail, and the team maintained constant communication with the client to ensure their vision was realized.
o Regular updates and progress reports were provided to keep the client informed and involved throughout the renovation process.
Outcome:
The project was a resounding success, resulting in a fully modernized and transformed home. The restored and redecorated ceilings, refreshed timber doors and architraves and the newly designed kitchen all contributed to a bright, light, and modern living environment. The addition of a new study area and downstairs toilet, along with the reconfiguration of doorways, significantly improved the functionality and layout of the property. The client was delighted with the results, and the home now stands as a perfect blend of style and practicality, ready to meet their needs for years to come. This project exemplifies that PM Cheshire Ltd are commited to excellence and client satisfaction.
